Brazil began their 2008 Beijing Olympics campaign wearing the brand new Nike Brazil home kit, with Ronaldinho, Diego, Pato and Anderson some of the star players on show. We've got images of the new Nike Brazil kit modelled by Ronaldinho and Robinho, as well as a soccer video of Ronaldinho's football skills!
However, after wearing the new Nike kit in their opening victory against Belgium, Brazil have been told they will have to play the rest of the Olympics without their traditional badge on their shirts. The badge, which consists of five stars representing the five World Cups won by Brazil above the letters CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), has been removed from the team's Nike shirts because it contravenes Olympic policy. For this reason officials have removed the badge as they fear it could damage Rio de Janiero's bid to host the 2016 Games.
Brazil's home kit retains the traditional yellow shirts with blue shorts and white socks, and is currently being worn at the Olympics by star players Pato and Ronaldinho, with Robinho unfortunately missing out due to injury. Ronaldinho is the most high profile Brazilian player at the Olympics, and is wearing his own range of football boots made by Nike, the Nike Ronaldinho 10R Dois Football Boots. The Dois Football Boots are available to the public and have been made using Ronaldinho's unique last!
Brazil are one of the favourites to win the Olympics, and if Ronaldinho turns on the tricks and skills shown in this football video, then it will be hard to stop the Brazilians.
